First time reading something by Philip Pullman outside His Dark Materials universe. I was not very impressed, but it's OK.

This graphic novel, as the title says, belongs to the action-adventure genre. It can be read by kids and teens, but it's interesting enough for an adult. Just don't expect that much either. It tells the story of a ship and its crew that are able to travel across time. Early in the story this crew saves a teen girl from the sea, in the year 2017, so we kinda get to know the crew through her. There are characters in 2017 that know about this ship and are interested in this ship for one reason or another, including some powerful people, so there we get some agents in action and such.
Overall... nothing too exciting happens, and the characters are not very developed by the end of the book. Many things stay unanswered in this first volume, and I'm not sure why really... It's not that there are very big mysteries going on, so why you wouldn't explain with more detail why some weird stuff are happening or have happened…?

Anyway, It's alright, I guess. I read some reviews complaining about the drawings, but I didn't have big issues with them... Some parts could be improved, sure, but overall the art of the book is alright.
