This story flips the murder mystery on its head - what do you do when someone's bringing the recently deceased back to life?

Dealing with the issues of the heart, soul, and morality, this Victorian era page-turner is written with an accurate ear for the vernacular of the time, and is full of interesting, diverse characters. I would happily read more stories set in this universe.

I would agree the ending comes across as a little anticlimactic, tying up loose ends that perhaps didn't really need to be tended to, but it provides a firm footing for a sequel.
