I've only read the first Spiderwick book, and the movie wasn't all that interesting, but the Field Guide is fun.

This encyclopaedia was half my childhood! I loved running round the garden trying to find fearies; the illustrations are gorgeous as well. A great companion for all ages.

This series was cute, but definitely written for a young audience. The books were better than the movie, but they weren't amazing.
