I really enjoyed this. Q was fun, the adventure was different and interesting too.

Decent story; reads just like one of those Q-flavored TNG episodes.

Jean-Luc and Beverly just want to get married in peace. Q has other ideas.
Short, amusing, and a fast read.

This was a wonderful light-hearted jaunt into the world of some of my favorite Star trek characters.

I've had this book for almost a year now, and I've finally gotten the opportunity to read it. I was rather surprised by it in a couple of ways!

First of all, I was not expecting it to be so short! Even with its brevity, the story was engaging and I didn't feel cheated out of a full story.

The plot was very interesting, and I loved many of the appearances made in the book! It truly was written for the fans, as it mentions both Next Generation and Voyager events.

It was a typical Q story, and I found it easy to imagine the actors from the show while I was reading it. My chief complaint was that we never truly had the mystery of the planet solved, nor did we find out what happened to the treasure.

All in all, it was an enjoyable read, and one I highly recommend for fans of the series!

Short but kind of sweet. This was more like a Stargate adventure but well suited to Picard's archaeological interests.

A Q story I haven't read? BLASPHEMY!

Silly Jean-Luc, thinking he could get away with marrying Beverly without some "divine" interference. To be honest, the premise was stronger than the story at times, though part of that is simply due to its length. I've never been a fan of novellas, because unless they're exceptionally well written, there's just not enough space for the story to gain real depth. But this had some very bright gems, including a beautifully poignant section at Picard's home in France, where he reflects on the loss of his brother and nephew just before his wedding. And Q's characterization, thankfully, was fairly strong, which is really what I wanted most out of this. Who else could give Picard the wedding he deserved?

Best line: Q's opening to Picard's ceremony - "Dearly beloved, you have been abducted here today..."
