Naughty Carter Phillips gets school bad boy Adam to take her exam for her, and is soon being blackmailed. Things get even worse when Adam shows up dead! It's a fun read, but the ending was too Murder She Wrote for me. I like a bit more violence in my finales! It lacked the thrills of a typical Fear Street climactic showdown.

This was better than I thought it would be. It reminded me of a Lifetime movie. Although the ending was kind of cheesy.

I can't believe I used to read these books as a youth, this was intense! Bribery, murder, possible sexual assault, guns, it was wild. The nineties were a different time man.

Yeah, these are poorly written and problematic, but almost to a level of camp, and they’re so messy that they are actually very ethically stimulating, lol. You could have a cool convo on class division with this book’s ridiculous realness.
The many plot twists make the second half really fun and almost impressively surprising.
If I’m in the mood for some 80s (technically 90s) nostalgia and pulp, I rarely go wrong with a Fear Street book.

Classist storyline with an after school special vibe on how cheating on a test could get you on the slippery slope to MURDER. I’m not one for book burning but if the main character called her dad “Daddy” one more time this book would be campfire fuel.
