Not for the faint hearted...

Entertaining allegories of fairy tales super imposed over the ugly side of people set in Singapore. For the chapter Sleeping Beauty, I think a TW (rape) is in order. The writing seems to be out to shock or sensationalise, but there's very little...substance (lol) to any of it.

This is one of the books where if I could give no rating at all, I would. If this book's purpose is to unsettle with gratuitous eroticism and violence warped around traditional children's fairytales, then it succeeds very well. While I don't exclude the possibility that this book might be something someone else might enjoy, I would never recommend it to anyone. If you're reading this and unsure of whether you'd like it, I'd say, read the first story/chapter and then if you can stomach it - or like it, gasp - then read on.
