I'm not usually one for self-help books. But this one was fairly interesting. The authors writing style was a bit hard at first to get used to- but once I did it was a quick read and was hard to put down.
Really enjoyed it, I can see it being a book I re-read every couple years as a reminder.

A brilliant book to start my new year.
Lessons learned:
-I am an agent of my life. I make agreements and live through the consequences
-the four agreements (be impeccable with your word, don’t make any assumptions, don’t take anything personally, and always do your best) will forever remain important guiding principles in my life’s time
-I must forgive myself for mistakes of my past, my internal judge continues to harm me so long as I fuel it with self pity, shame, and guilt.
-god is love?
-tell the people who I love “I love you” more often.

This book is so inspiring. Like all books in this genre, none of this information is really new or innovative. However, Ruiz worded his ideas in a succinct and digestible way. It's a pretty short book too because he gets straight to the point. The basic ideas are to be impeccable with your word, not to take things personally, not to make assumptions, and always do your best. It's not rocket science, but it touched my heart. I'm going to come back and read this again the next time I'm feeling discouraged or in a slump.
