It was alright. The mystery and the premise was fascinating, however it was just done so badly. I felt the killer and the reasoning could have been better, it just didn’t sit right at the end. Why was David such a dick? Like honestly they did him so dirty. I liked him for Stevie and I honestly think Johnson just wanted to spice it because the beginning was so boring.

Get rid of David and I’d enjoy these books so much more. This one had way too much focus on Stevie mooning after her asshole boyfriend to be enjoyable.

Out of all the Stevie Bell mysteries this is my least favourite one. Don’t get me wrong I still really liked it but it just wasn’t as good as the others. I really liked the mystery of this book. It kept me guessing and wasn’t predictable. However the ending made me really mad. Like how can you end a book on that note? It just did not feel complete to me. I hope there will be another Steve Bell mystery in the future because i need to know what happens next haha. Also the pacing and build up were really slow.
