This book was amazing. Me and my sister actually read it together for a little bit and then I ended up just annotating her copy. I think that this book is very impactful, more so for the ages that it was intended for, but very impactful nonetheless.

Another beautiful and touching piece from Lois Lowry. With a 10-year old girl protagonist during the WWII in Denmark. A great children book.

Sweet story of courage and hope. Wished it wrapped up a little better and showed us the Rosens returning and a little of their story after they
disappeared for 2 years
but I enjoyed it and read it in about 2 hours.

I read this book in middle school but had to read it again for my Young Adult Literature class in college. When I read it the second time, I couldn't recall much about it besides that it's about a little girl during the Holocaust. Lois Lowry's writing about such a devastating era was extremely well done and made very appropriately for young adult readers. The pages at the end also give further information about the research Lowry had to do prior to writing Number the Stars, and I learned some pretty interesting facts that I never would've known about ways people survived the Holocaust.
