I do so like Todd Strasser. The different/constantly shifting points of view in this were a little hard to handle at times, but overall, it was a very quick and good read. Not as powerful as some of his works, but still worth a read.

This is one of those books that I got sucked into that turned into something not disappointing but not what I really expected.

This book was very different from the other Todd Strasser I have read. While those books were well-crafted, suspenseful muder mysteries, this book centered around a topic which, if I'm being often, is mostly regarded as teen-fic or chick-lit but never a literary masterpiece; the topic being celebrity fiction.
The premise was still somewhat original - New York's youngest paparazzo is assigned the task of creating a photo spread in order to boost the career of Willow Twine, your stereotypical good-teen-celebrity-gone-off-the-rails-trying-to-make-a-comeback.
While there are some elements of the mystery genre in this book - the non-linear plot line, the mysterious photos, a deranged fan's letters - they seem to fall flat. This isn't to say I wasn't curious, but never did I feel a true sense of suspense, of feeling hooked on the mystery. These elements also seemed a little underdeveloped.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed reading the book. It just didn't live up to Strasser's other works.

This is a book for readers who will pay attention to the titles of chapters, this is very important for keeping pace with the characters and the plot. I would not recommend this book to a struggling reader or a reluctant reader because of the amount of information contained in the chapter headings.
I enjoyed the exploration of fame and being famous. This book reminded me of Jane and Switch because of the fame aspect.
