Dude, great book! Amazing character development and action. Had me reading deep into the night until I just couldn't stay awake. Cannot wait for the sequel.

The first 20% of this book was kind of slow. However, once it got going, it got going. Jenna's journey through the wild is captivating with the land itself tripping her up and forming obstacles. I admired her tenacity and rooted for her all the way to Turia. I imagined Turia as a fantasy version of Italy and loved the way it was described.

I felt Enzo's respect for Jenna grow as they get to know one another and I loved the secretive conceal-don't-feel Jenna goes through. There is a Pride & Prejudice reference in this book. It made me squeal a little bit.

I felt the villains were not as rounded out as they could've been and the ending fight scene should've been longer. Though I think that for a lot of books, maybe I just like long fight scenes...

Over all, I enjoyed reading this and can't wait for the next book!!

i laughed so much during this book, it was unexpected. the main characters are very lovable and i enjoyed the plot even if it's nothing really new and creative.

Great book. The FMC is really strong and I liked that she learned to overcome the difficulties mostly by her own. There are things that did not add up but I guess it will in the second book.

This reminded me of a Jennifer Nielsen book mixed with the Goose Girl by Shannon Hale
