This is a beautiful book, about generational cycles and trauma. I was wary to pick it up when I heard the book goes in reverse chronological order, the last book I read written like that was confusing and hard to follow. This one isn't like that at all, it almost feels like short stories about two families that slowly tie together into one larger story.
