This book surpassed the first. I really, REALLY loved it. I love this world/universe, I love the premise, the ideas about where our society could end up someday, the speculation about what "God" could be. I'm still thinking about it days later.

Audiobook specific: The voice of the poet, Martin S, is so incongruent after the FABULOUS narration done by someone else for that character in the first book. It really took something away from that character for me, in the same way that the woman who narrated Lamia in the first book drove me to read that entire section in print to avoid the voice. Otherwise brilliantly narrated.
