OK, so the killer is a stone-cold psycho

The scheme was easy enough to put together but abandoning the baby didn't seem to fit. But that's because the killer is a psycho.

I really liked that Aragona is starting to get the idiocy bashed off him.

It took a while for me to warm to them as I worked through the books but now I’m a big fan of The Bastards of Pizzofalcone.

Each of the characters has something interesting going on outside of their police duties. While this episode in the series has a bit less to the main crime than others, it’s still enjoyable. Although I wished the characters’ sub plots had moved on a bit more. Still it gives me something to look forward to in what seems like the final novel in the series (due to be released in October 2021 in the UK).
