Appeals to the Young (Girl) Adult market.

Yes another cute one but not as good as the first. Although there's a major cliffhanger at the end of this book.

Would round up to 4 stars, but decided to go down instead because of huge cliffhanger and no follow up book.

Not as good as the first, but I look forward to seeing where she goes with this.

This book was obviously met to be a trilogy but I don't think the author will be making a 3rd book which is a bummed deal. It was a quick read and unique but left a lot of unanswered questions.

Cute, fast read. I was sad when Beth thought that Clayton was trying to kill her; but then again communication it not something teenagers are good at. I really like Kevin, and hope to see more of him in the future. Her bestie is wonderful and I adore their friendship. I was surprised, but not surprised that her Latin teacher ended up being her maker. I was more surprised that Clayton was able to kill him by accident which happened to make it impossible for Beth, and therefore Clayton, to stop being vampires. Beth being the talisman that therefore being able to walk in the sun was surprising. And what is this "empress" business? I am definitely looking forward to more of Beth and her adventures.
