The repetitive "Teeny tiny" bit can get old for the adult, but the kid loved it.

The teeny tiny ghost does things that all good ghosts do--he lives with cats, goes to school and tries to learn how to haunt. Halloween is approaching, but the teeny tiny ghost is not happy because it is so hard to haunt. Then, when things are at their spookiest, there's a loud knocking at his door. Will the teeny tiny ghost successfully haunt the strangers...or will they haunt him?

Cute story and cute illustrations. I really loved the first half of the book, but for some reason the second half really didn't do much for me. I originally thought it would get five stars, at least four. But even though it does have a nice ending, I still think that something got lost in the middle.

Where are his teeny tiny parents? Is everyone in this book a teeny tiny orphan?

My students enjoyed this book. They thought it was cute.

"Each day the teeny tiny ghost goes to haunting school to try to become scarier. It's hard work, though -- especially since he's frightened by his own screams! Then, one bat-black October night, the teeny tiny ghost is floating in his teeny tiny home when he hears a RAP TAP TAP on the door. And then he knows it's up to him to keep himself and his teeny tiny cats safe. But what are the chances that a teeny tiny timid ghost will really be able to scare someone away?"

The author uses the phrase Teeny Tiny on every page and so I am expecting something to be very teeny tiny. I don't feel like the ghost is really teeny tiny. He's a bit bigger than a cat and about the same size as his ghost. Teeny tiny is the smallest ghost, but not teeny tiny so that bothered me.

I enjoyed the artwork and felt like it was cozy and cute and very Halloween. I do wonder why the smile on the ghosts is so weird.

The story is about a ghost needing to learn to be scary, but he's scared of all that stuffed. It's about overcoming our own fears. I don't think it's all that unique. There is a big trick-or-treating ending.

I don't think this is one of the best Halloween stories, but it's cute enough. It's for beginning readers and it's fine.
