My favourite Discworld book so far. Funny, and Mort was a good main character, probably the most sympathetic of any protagonist. He wasn't an idiot, he wasn't passive, he was just quite normal and nice to root for. Death's character arc was enjoyable too (as is Peter Serafinowicz's performance as him).

This was a really enjoyable book. Tone and atmosphere were top notch cozy fantasy. Death is a phenomenal character and the subtle humour is expertly done. Starts a little slow but when it picks up it doesn't let up.

History has a habit of changing the people who think they are changing it.

I loved my first adventure into Terry Pratchett's Discworld! I adore any book that features a personified Death, and the weird, whacky, wonderfulness of this world is so much fun to read about! I can't wait to read more! (Also, the audiobook was absolutely incredible, I'd highly recommend it.)

I kinda expected this to be narrated entirely by Death. It's called Mort! But it turns out Mort is the name of a kid Death takes on as an apprentice. It's a hilarious concept and we still got to see plenty of Death 'cause he's the boss.

I really enjoyed this book. Mort is a good protagonist even if his mission is a disaster waiting to happen, and I loved following Death's little side-quests and the fact that he loves food (maybe that's where Supernatural got it). I also thought Death's home/realm was really interesting. But most of all, there was a scene toward the end, a very climactic one with Death and Mort, that I absolutely loved.

This book was so much fun to read. I loved the appearance of a certain wizard that told us where iy stands in the timeline. And overall, I really liked it and highly recommend it.

I love Discworld, I wanna preface this. But this was okay compared to the others I have read. Nothing bad, I just wished for more character development from death or learning a bit more about Albert or the daighter, whose name I have already forgotten. The female characters in this book were not the best selling point of the book. Overall, it was fine, had some funny or cute moments, but knowing that in the end, fate will take care of everything, I did not feel like there enough stakes to be amxious or excited about.
