Fell out of reading for a bit. Looked up the full plot and seems like overall it would've been pretty good.

Interesting premise, pretty enjoyable! Nothing too crazy happened, but I liked basically all of the characters, as characters, maybe not necessarily as people. By that I mean all the characters, even the "bad guys" were pretty flushed out and humanized and the relationships the main character has to each person was unique and engaging. I had a good time and I wouldn't say I was bored a single time. It was a good palate cleanser between the other two books I was really, but not really enjoying.

It was very YA, almost unbearably so at the beginning, but for the last 1/4, I found myself happy I’d read it.
