More interesting as a historical curiosity than anything else.
The first two thirds of the book reprint comics that originally appeared in “spicy” pulps. The main character (and any other female character) is constantly getting her clothes ripped off, and in most of these stories, she is threatened with rape.
The stories in the last third of the book are better. They are longer than 2-4 pages and therefore have more room to develop. Also, the near constant threat of sexual violence is gone, which helps tremendously.
