If the Percy Jackson series is like an fun Disney movie, than this myth series is its animated Nickelodeon cousin. Not quite as good, but still amusing and entertaining. A quick, easy read. It is too bad the series probably got overshadowed by Percy Jackson because I still think a lot of kids would enjoy it.

Where the first book was split between Charlotte and Zee, this one is all about our girly red headed girl Charlotte. She's gotten grounded from that little misadventure of saving the Underworld and if that isn't punishment enough her parents (read dad, Mr. Mielswetzski) decides to take the family on a history cruise he's won.

Zee goes from cousin to stranger, and Charlotte - with the lack of contact from Mr. Metos - feels very alone and ordinary.

Until the siren starts to sing...

Than it's a race to save her parents and a cruise ship and a giant squid which isn't exactly what it appears.

Every bit as good as The Shadow Thieves. Charlotte has not lost her bitterness, nor Ursu her wit. Looking forward to what I can only assume will be a third book!

The second in the series and just as delightful as the first. Charlotte and Zee are both grounded at the beginning of the book, completely oblivious that Poseidon is very angry at mortals for embarrassing his grandson, Philecron the way they did. This plot involves more of Charlotte which is great because she is very sarcastic and funny. Full of adventure and information about Greek mythology, this is a one doozy of a book. I don't know why this isn't as popular as the Percy Jackson series because I think this is way funnier.

Just as good as the first one. A good recommendation for those who enjoyed The Lightning Thief

The second book in The Cronus Chronicles series. Charlotte and her parents win a cruise up the Atlantic coast. There's just one problem, the contest was rigged by Poseidon who is upset with Charlotte for defeating his grandson Philonecron. While Poseidon goes after Charlotte, Philonecron kidnaps Zee and takes him to Poseidon's yacht. Now Charlotte must rescue Zee and save her family by defeating the second most powerful god in the pantheon.
