Project V by Nicole Honl is an exciting science fiction read with a bit of romance sprinkled in. Project V captures your attention from the beginning and keeps you hooked until the end. Kat McKay wants to protect the world from the ones responsible for her father’s death, supernatural human with the ability to control the elements known as the Vaettir. After obtaining a government job allowing her to follow in her father’s footsteps, Kat discovers that the truth she once knew might not be the reality. As Kat ventures on the journey to discover the truth behind her father’s death, she realizes that the world is not simply black or white, but multiple shades of grey.
Nicole Honl has written an incredible book with a unique plot and multidimensional characters. This was a quick read and while it ends on a happy note (for the time being), you can’t help but wonder what else is in store for these characters. Nicole leaves you wanting more and I can’t wait to see what challenges these characters face in the next book in this series. I recommend this book if you’re looking for a great, captivating read for all ages.
