My favorite was to compulsive caregivers. This book made me very emotional but also hopeful and inspired to bring more love into this world. I think sometimes this world feels so hopeless and this book put that into perspective for me. I really enjoyed the prompts after each poem and I am going to buy a hard copy so that I can look at those more thoroughly. Such a well written and beautiful book of poems.

Kai Cheng Thom just never disappoints. This book intercuts prose poems written in the form of letters with suggestions/enchantments in response to each letter. I continue to be bad about talking about poetry, but each letter is so powerful, both in its insight into humanity and seeing the patterns that weave under everyday life, and in seeing kindness and ambiguity in situations that are so often just Discourse bait. Thom writes to friends and lovers and johns and TERFs, specific individuals and general groups, and every time open-heartedness is the centre of her life.
I'm really glad I bought this one, as I can see going back to it often.
