This was a sad read with so much anger and emotion. It was quick but did leave you with some hope.

Cee Cee Riley packs another punch with this very gritty and tragically heartbreaking tale of Crank, the first of the Highwaymen Nomads and someone I can't help but love and want to hold.
His life was harsh and unforgiving, and that's how he lived and treated the rest of world. No mercy, for he never received any. Always looking for a fight, to feel something other than the aching hole inside his. The lose and the rage. Until he wants to deck the wrong man. A man that wants to show him another way of life. Offer him a family. A brotherhood. A place to belong.
It's more than he could ever have hopes for. To belong. To be needed.
Until Hope. And Marie. Until he might as well burn it all to the ground.
It's a harsh world and Crank knows all about it. But Hope will always be with him. Right where she belongs.
More of a 4.5 star read so do not let the four stars fool you. This one definitely sets the scene for the Nomads and their travels.

I hope have not spoiled anything!

I received an ARC of Crank and have freely given my review.

This one was hard for me to rate because of...well, you have to read it for yourself. To say it kept my attention is an understatement. You can’t help but feel for Crank and hope that he gets a good life. No spoilers but the ending killed me. So not what I was expecting.
