ocean vuong is a poet, and even his prose reads like poetry. heartbreakingly beautiful, this book nearly stopped my heart. i dont have the words to describe it. withing the first three pages, ocean vuong had me staring out the window in contemplative silence, and i didnt know if my tears were of joy or sorrow or something else completely.

An absolutely gorgeous book that dives into trauma, addiction and growing up as a child of a war. It was an amazing read and in my opinion extremely educational!
