I loved this book so much! Audre is my queen, I wish I was as smart as her at 12.

It was okay. Really liked Shane and loved Audre, and the writing was great.

This book was good but it could have been great. The premise was so exciting, a seven day romance and then they meet again years later?? Deeply flawed characters, Black love ???
There were some gimmicks in the writing which I didn’t care for but then again I don’t love the styles of humour in contemporary fiction. But some of the passages were so raw and emotional, I could really feel the characters pain.
The thing I hated the most was the ending. Miscommunication as a plot point (no thanks) and the resolution rushed in the epilogue of all places.!!
I would love to read a second edition of this book in like five years, with 200 pages added to make it more serious and flesh out the ending.

Without spoiling it, I think I’ll talk about the lessons learned from this book which is that good love isn’t sudden, nor is it all consuming but it’s gentle and real.
