Similar to the other books - many plot holes, magic system is chaotic, lots of filler, tone of the writing and dialogue is all over the place and just generally kind of a mess/felt unedited.

I think the sad part is these books - if actually well plotted out ahead of time and edited - could have been a really lovely trilogy or maaaaybe even 4 books total and could have still contained lots of twists (and true twists, not just constantly changing the lore every 300 pages) and adventure etc…

However, they are still very entertaining and the characters are likable. The spice is - as always - fun. And I do think the potential that magic system and concept of Fates and history repeating etc… is really cool in theory even if the execution is LACKING.
