Wonderful weave of character motives and confounding dead ends. Heightened mightily as I traveled the Nile along with the story. Reading about the Aswan Cataract Hotel and Elephantine island while staying on Elephantine island was surreal, and then to get experience Abu Simbel along with the attempted murder was perfect. Finished tonight while on a similar cruise … what could be better???
Only negative is that I recently watched the 2022 film and uncharacteristically remembered key plot details …

I started out not liking this book- the characters were so “unlikeable “. It picked up after the murders and I really enjoyed it. I liked how Poirot spelled out his thoughts on each person, motives, etc. In the end— I had guessed correctly on ‘who dun it’!!
