Great book for studying different cities/countries/continents/cultures around the world.

I loved the plasticine illustrations in addition to the wonderful rhyming, repetition, and humor.

It's a very sweet and all-around great picture book. I would like to own a copy.

Amazing illustrations created with clay are the highlight of this picture book about a grandmother who travels to all of the contents and asks her granddaughter what she'd like as a gift from each place. The girl asks for creative presents like "a rainbow to wear as a ring..."

A grandmother travels around the world sending back gifts to her granddaughter. We see them each age and grow until a time comes when the granddaughter shares travelling gifts with her child, although in a very different way. Barbara Reid's plasticine pictures are stunning and charming at the same time.

Rhyming text about a grandma who travels and asks what she can bring her grandchild from each place. It's always something interesting, unusual, and unique to the place being visited. The illustrations are made of clay and just jump off the page. Fun. You could liven this one up with an older group by having them predict what the child will ask for from each place.

The perfect book for any gift giving season/occasion. I also aspire to be this kind of grandma one day & travel around the world 😜
