For such a short novella, there is plenty of diverse representation. Chastity is fat and Black. Luke is lighter skinned but perhaps Latine? (He has light brown skin and silky black hair.)
The story is full of humor, adventure, and plenty of spice. There is no real angst and the plot goes exactly where you want it to. This was the author’s first PNR and I hope she writes more.

I loved how utterly besotted Luke was with Chastity. She literally tries to kill him (since she's from a werewolf hunting family and he's a werewolf, the old-school slavering beast kind) and he more or less just stares at her with heart eyes. He loves the fact that she's not soft and sweet, but actually capable of killing him. Chastity, who's been taught that all werewolves are evil and need to be hunted down and killed, is understandably a bit confused when Luke turns out to be a really sweet, funny guy who respects her boundaries.
This was both hilarious and adorable. And the depiction of consent was just impeccably done. Talia Hibbert ought to do a masterclass on it.

Well if this wasn't just the delightful shifter romance my heart has been waiting for...
I love the "I'm supposed to kill you, but we fell in love" trope, I love grumpy/sunshine, and fated mates always works for me. This had all three in abundance.
I adored that the characters were consecutively both predator and prey to one another (albeit in different formats 😂), and there were genuinely funny parts here and there dotted throughout the book.
If you're looking for something fairly light and reasonably low angst and have a fondness for PNR, I'd suggest giving this one a try.
