“Pretty Ruthless” was a likable second chance romance about two high school sweethearts, Claire and Dawson, who are no longer together due to the fact that their lives went in different directions. I thought Claire and Dawson were a cute couple, although they definitely had some things to work through. This book was really fast paced, as well. All in all, I enjoyed this read, and would recommend for fans of second chance romance.

This was such a fun read! I love the past and present timelines it really helped tie everything together. I loved Claire and Dawson’s story and how it started when they were young and even after years it could still be something. Their complicated love story made it so rewarding to reach the end and see what happened.

This is book 1 in a new shared world series. This one is Clair and Dawson's story. Two loves, going to be forever, till forever wasn't to be. It's time for their 10 year reunion, what will the weekend bring??

I loved every page of this one, it's about 80 pages btw. The banter, the sweet moments, the love, the anger, the hurt feelings, I was here for everything.

I laughed, I cried, and you won't regret reading it either!

Claire and Dawson were once high school sweethearts. It was always those two against the world. They both ended in heartbreak. A decade later, at their reunion, old flames reunite.

Pretty Ruthless is a fabulous introduction into the Brighton High School reunion shared world. This is a quick and easy read. It was a little too fast paced, but really good. This is recommended if you enjoy second chances, small town, medium burn, and does end with an HEA. I normally don't care for flashbacks, but they fit so well, especially with this series. Definitely, can't wait to read more!

I loved this quick amazing read. I am a total sucker for second chance romances, and I am glad that this is the kickoff to this series. The flashbacks and dual POV really made this book amazing. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store.

Cute little story. It’s a come back home to your roots type thing. It’s definitely like a cozy, cute romance story where in the end everything is right where it should be.

If you love stories of missed opportunities and past loves this is definitely the book for you! The fmc left home to follow her dreams leaving her soul mate behind. But you know love always wins out whether 1,5, or even 10 years later!!

Em like always has done her thing! I absolutely devoured Claire and Dawson's story! It gave me all the feels! It was so cute! But man, do I feel old! 5 stars, hands down! Even though this was a short read, I'm obsessed! 10/10 recommend! I can't wait for all the other stories in this shared world !! Em can definitely do it all

This is the first book in a multi author project called The Brighton High Reunion series. It is a small town, second chance romance novella told through dual POV with flashbacks. The story was a really sweet, easy read, and I love that Claire and Dawson got their HEA. Great quick little read.

This was a nice story, good match. The first in a summer ARC series and I'm hooked, waiting for the next one! The characters were drawn together. Years and gaps separate them, but sometimes fate wins and as Claire said, "time to follow your heart." I want more Dawson. This is a fun read. And to the author, Mrs. Hunt is WRONG.
