I found the final book in the Confessions series to be quite disappointing. Overall, the series really should have stopped after the first book. It just seemed like the following three books were added after the first one became so successful. I really enjoyed the character of Tandy, but she was touted in the series as a brilliant sleuth, but was underdeveloped in that capacity. Reasons for the actions of the characters and clues to events were dropped into the readers' laps without any foreshadowing or background to make them believable. Motivations were left unclear which left this reader feeling cheated. The characters in these stories and the plot lines had so much potential left unexplored. The series could have been so much more, but after the first book, it seemed as though the authors didn't know where to take the stories, so they devised quick endings that were sophomoric in nature. I'm truly sorry now that I read the entire series and didn't stop after the first book.

I really enjoyed the other books in this series, but I felt like this one was rushed and thrown together without much thought. The ending was thrown together messily and the rest of the book didn't make much sense. There were about two pages between every attempt on her life. This book did not do the others justice.

although I didn't love this one as much as I did the first and second ones, this one was still pretty good. a lot of answers, a lot of conclusions.

But I must admit, a lot of things left undone. I guess that's close to real life...who knows. Maybe we'll get another installment.

I have to say this one was bitter sweet, I can't believe how some of the characters ended up, Hugo is now my hero and JR may have ruined star crossed lovers type tropes for me forever.

I liked this better than the 3rd one but it was a little slow and all over the place. I like the finality of it.

Very disappointed with this book... didn't really add anything to this trilogy, it didn't clear up anything from the previous books. I really wish it would have been better. However it was a short light read..that was a plus finished it in a dayish. Glad i read it first out of my book haul just because it was not what I was hoping for or needed !!! I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, and I will definitely re-read them.. but this is just un-necessary. It felt like nothing happened the whole novel. I feel very bad that I didn't enjoy this book, especially since it's the first James Patterson novel I did not enjoy.. but .. guess it just wasn't for me.

My understanding was that this was to be the fourth and final installment in the Confessions Series. Unfortunately, after reading it, I still believe that to be true and that is extremely disappointing. I had a hard time staying focused and intrigued while reading this installment while all the other books grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go. Everything seemed jumbled and rushed. Especially the ending. The conclusion just sort of came from no where and it wasn't satisfactory at all. None of the resolutions seemed fitting for how the rest of the series has gone. From Tandy's relationship with James to Katherine's reappearance (not to mention where her baby came from?) to Matty's downward spiral, it was all wrapped up sloppy if wrapped up at all. The only reason I hope that I'm wrong and there is another book is that it will be a chance at redemption for the series as a whole. Because I really did like the first three books so much!
