This is really great to have a prequel to introduce characters and their backgrounds before getting into the main story where the expectations are to focus on the plot. That’s not to say that you aren’t getting a teaser of what’s to come, but rather it’s nice to have a focus on each character. Sometimes in polyamorous relationship romances some partners get short shrifted, but this prequel really helps to flesh out all the characters, as well as set the mystery in motion.

B4 is the introduction to the main characters of Five giving a hint of their background and a suggestion of what is to come in the book Five.

Whilst Five does actually feature the prologue in the beginning in order to help build the characters and the start of the world that the book takes place in I also liked having it separately as it gives a gentle introduction to some hard topics that may not be suitable for all readers.

I haven't read the actual book yet, but this definitely made me interested to know more about these men. I wasn't as interested in Neve's part, but I now do want to know what was happening to the Lost Boys. The background of all these boys/men was also very compelling. Every man had a similar yet different background in emotional angst. This book does a good job at making readers want to know what's going on, why are we learning about all these men, and who Beck, the man at the end, was. Looking forward to reading it all.
