A really great sequel! I particularly liked some of the new worldbuilding and character development (Caj and Kjorn). Einarr was probably my favourite though.
Some of the decisions shard made were rather frustrating at times but it made sense for his character. Can't wait to read the next one!

You will not regret ever starting this beautiful story, world and all the characters in it.
Gryfons. Wolves. Lions. Eagles. And DRAGONS! Every creature you'd want in an epic animal fantasy and more. I seriously can not praise these books enough and I've already ordered books 3 and 4 and will be twitching with anticipation until book 3 arrives in two days.
The Summer King Chronicles aims to impress and it doesn't just hit the mark - it destroys it.

A great continuation of the series, full of instense adventure and amazing characters. This, plus the good writing, made it a joy to read. It was an absolute pleasure to fly with Shard again.
