This was a really open and educational read about sex, gender, orientation and everything that goes with it. I thought that Hannah's writing was humorous, informative and relaxed. It is the furthest thing from a judgy book and I think it would be highly useful for young people to read, especially around the areas of consent and sex shaming.
I think if more young people educated themselves around safe sex, consent etc, there would be less stigma and more understanding of no means no and other areas of sex.
Can we issue these books in high schools ASAP?!

Having read other "YouTuber books" this is probably the best one that I have read so far. Firstly it felt the most readable for several age groups, at 20 years old I didn't find this to be too young unlike some other YouTube books which only feel accessible to a younger audience. Secondly this didn't feel like a rehash of Hannah's channel in paper form, some other books in this genre end up retelling many anecdotes that fans already know. Within this book I didn't know (or perhaps didn't remember) a lot of the personal anecdotes, making it feel more like I was reading something new. There were several things from the factual side of the book I didn't know and it's handy to have all this kind of information in one place, from contraception to what is actually going on down there. I also liked that Hannah's brought in other people to share their experiences of gender/sexuality/ body image (I think it may have been the first time I've read about a guy's experiences of body image). I really enjoyed this book, I felt like I learned something with nearly every page, as opposed to the sometimes generic advice given out by other books. Congratulations Hannah on this book, you should be proud of it!

Well, well Hannah. This book swept me of my feet. I really enjoyed reading this and found that it was written with a very quick and easy tempo in it. Very informative and interesting. Sometimes it got a little boring, but notice my use of the word sometimes. Nevertheless, I recommend this book to every single one of you reading my review because it was so good, I couldn't put it down and I discovered so many new facts!

I liked that she touched on abusive/healthy relationships and how gender interplays with sex (even if it was a very underwhelming chapter on gender). I don't think healthy relationships is often looked at in sex ed books. I understand this book functions as a primer for teens, however, I felt it skimmed too much on the medical side. Information about UTIs was one sentence. STI testing section was way too brief and doesn't touch on enough of how to find the resources, will your parents find out, etc. that teenagers would be worried about.

It was also interesting how Hannah talked about her personal experiences but still didn't have a solid voice in the book.

Not very well-written, not going to lie, but there are great points brought up in the book. It would perhaps make a good starting point for people interested in sexuality and gender issues.

I should've read this book years ago.
I've been following Hannah for about 3 years and this one's has always been on my tbr pile.
It's sort of like a guide and I've loved every single chapter. From consent to feeling good about your body to sex, this book is about everything I wish I'd read about as a teenager. + there are some short texts from my other favorite Youtubers such as Rowan Ellis, Alayna Joy and Calum McSwiggan.

There is only one small thing that I didn't like, and that's Hannah defining bisexuality as an attraction to two. But luckily, Alayna's piece made up for it and clarified the definition.
Overall, I've really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading it again.
