Three stories, each with a twist that changes the shape and twists the concept and breaks the wall... the last is a more subtle twist, and is low-key in the writing style of Adrian Tomine rather than full-out fantasy.

Not bad. Kinda modern fables. Didn't impress me or disappoint me.

Three illustrated stories of a very melancholy, almost depressing, vein. The stories all have somewhat "happy" endings but I think the despair of the individual stories overshadowed that for me.

Meh.

I liked it okay, the first two stories just didn't really grab me, and the art did very little for me. It wasn't bad, but it didn't move in the way something like Bone did. The panels just didn't flow for me.

The last story, that was good, the art and the writing, I actually cared about the character.

In the end though, I read it, put it down, and this is probably the last time I am going to think about it.

Meh.

The endings of some surprised me. The endings of others didn't. But as a whole, it was short and sweet and thoughtful--the sort of book that could do with a reread, frankly.

Three fun stories by the guys who were at the Oly Comics Festival this year. I liked them all. I missed the more realistic basis of the other work of both guys, and this felt like a sampler of "we can do different styles." None of the stories really read like them. They were fun, but not amazing.

Three excellent fable-style stories for the modern age. Really enjoyable, would re-read!

I was really impressed by the non-formulaic approach the three stories took. Though they each started out on familiar paths, they took complex routes. Each story is fascinating in its own right, and I can see myself rereading this in the future.
