"This all began with blind spots. Blind spots being bad surprises. But maybe that's naive. Maybe a bad thing only looks like a bad thing from a certain angle."
I really love how Jessica had developed in this series, even if she still suppresses her new way of optimistic thinking. There's something so familiar with Jessica's problematic perspective that in order to not lose something you treasure, you have to downplay its importance to you. That girl has some trust issues hahahahah. Nevertheless, in this issue, Jessica imparts lessons to a younger folk which hits close to home. Family can indeed help in developing someone drastically.

Aside from that, Jessica Jones just proves herself to be the embodiment of a punching advocate against misogyny. I just wanna hug her to bits!
"If there's one good thing about me, it's that people always underestimate me. On every level. Including literal strength. It's insulting...but you know what? I'll take it. Makes it easier to win."
and that's how Jessica outsmarted poor Jared. Honestly, the villains weren't really appealing but they were a representation of the inner toxic selves in all of us. I'll surely wait for the next issue in October!

Before I even read this issue, I found myself feeling very scared. You see, Kelly Thompson (the fantastic writer for this series) felt the need to apologize for how the issue ended off…before the comics even hit the shelves (well, digital catalog in this case). Um. That sounded like either a cliffhanger or something really awful was heading this way.
Turns out, it’s a bit of both. But I should have expected that. Like the last two issues, this one was split in half. The first half finished the plot that we’ve been reading lately. I loved the conclusion – there were several funny and serious points in it.
The second half started a new plot. At first look it was lighter and sillier. But then it got…intense. I love that they actually had a serious moment to talk about trauma, PTSD, and that it’s okay to admit when you’re feeling vulnerable. And then that conclusion hit us. Oh my god. I can see why Thompson felt compelled to apologize in advance. I very well may go crazy before the next issue drops.
