Finally! Almost. Maybe?
Yes!!!
This is a second chance at what could have been or possibly of the one that got away.
Boomer, Lara, Boomer's sister Piper, & Bowie were all friends back in high school but all went separate ways after each graduated. Piper, the little minx, offers up her old room in Boomer's apartment to Lara when her apartment isn't ready yet. Piper wants sparks and Boomer & Lara just want to ignore any sparks that may have lingered and try to be mature adults that can temporarily live together with little to no tension. They try.

This was fun and funny! Spicy and sweet! It's no use for these two to fight what was meant to be since forever ago.

Dirty Flirty by Mira Lyn Kelly 10th book in the Slayers Hockey series and I believe #11 should be coming soon. I enjoyed this book a lot although it can be read as a standalone. If you like friends to lovers, second chance, roommates, secret crush, good girl/bad boy, secret crush, golden retriever hero, friends with benefits romances then you will love the book.

Ben Boerboom plays for the Slayers, he is a playboy who doesn’t do commitment. Underneath his tough exterior is someone who is funny and caring. His heart is missing the one girl who he feels got away and he never got over her.

Lara was determined to make something of herself after a rough childhood. She is sweet and has a good heart, but she longed for stability. Ben was her high school best friend, they understood and supported each other. After prom their relationship became more, but didn’t last very long and they split going their separate ways.

Years later, Lara’s job has moved her to Chicago after a mixup she ends up becoming roommates with Ben. They both realize the feeling they had years ago are still there and never went away. The pull they felt keeps pulling them together, but both are afraid of it. Ben realizes that Lara is the perfect partner for him.

I love the relationship Ben has with his mom and how well she can read him. I love the way Mira wrote Dirty Flirty, the characters were great and made this read so much fun. The banter and chemistry between them was written so well. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it, but read the other 9 first. Thank you Wordsmith Publicity and Mira Lyn Kelly for letting me read this ARC for my honest thoughts and opinions.

This is such a brilliant friends to lovers read.
Ben is a hockey player and only does hookups with pick bunnies. That is until his former best friend and first love is back in his life.
Lara is back in town and needs a place to stay and can't believe her friend Piper has set her up to stay with her brother, her former best friend.
Things are awkward at first but soon they become friends again but what happens when both want more. Will they give into it.
I loved how they were together and they had so much fun but when feelings change things get even better but can it last.
A must read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Boomer!!!

If you’ve read any of the Chicago Slayers’ books then you know who big Boomer is physically and personality wise but now we get to see how big his heart is!

I loved the communication and honesty between Lara and Ben, even though it was sometimes delayed it always happened.  I also really loved how much they supported each other.

My favorite thing about this series is you know you’re going to get lots of humor, lots of chemistry that leads to some steamy scenes (there are at least three on page descriptive sex scenes), and emotion but no big third act break up!

I can’t wait for the next book.

A quick, fun read: I loved the reformed Playboy, forced proximity, second chance, with plenty of heat.
Ben and Lara were best friends in high school, then more, and quickly after that went their separate ways. Years later, they now find themselves roommates. Are there still feelings?

I was surprised how I took to Ben, I did not expect to like him as much as I did. Kudos to the author for writing him as she did.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

WOW!!!  I loved being back with the Slayers and Mira Lyn Kelly definitely scored a goal with Dirty Flirt.  Although we’ve caught glimpses of Ben in past books, it was great to finally read all about him and learn what makes him tick.  This book is number 10 in the Slayers Hockey series, but it can also easily be read as a standalone.

After a mix up with Lara’s housing, she ends up in Ben’s place.  Normally that would be no big deal since they did used to be best friends.  Unfortunately things are not quite that easy.  Ben has feelings for Lara that go beyond friendship but he didn’t believe she could feel the same as he does.  It gets harder to ignore the pull between them the longer their living arrangement lasts.  Will they give in to what they both feel and want?

The banter and spice in this book were top notch and I loved the ending, but I still wanted more of Ben and Lara, I just loved them that much!!! I can’t wait to see what is next for the Slayers.

I am pretty sure this is my favorite book for Mira Lyn's from her Slayers Hockey Series.

Ben "Boomer" Boerboom is getting back at it this season and his sister and bestie Bowie are moving out and who fills in the empty roommate slot?!?! Lara! Lara use to have a crush on Ben and the night of prom, these two gave in, even though they said it wouldn't do anything to their friendship.. spoiler ... it did. This put an 8 year time frame of avoidance and distance on the two.

Once Lara was moved in, these two would fight the tension. They were both trying so hardly to play the part of reconnecting friends but they both wanted to so much more. Their open lines of communication and friendship won me over!

Boomer made me laugh! This guy was everything! He had the personality and the charm so I can see why he was irresistible. I loved that him and Lara got their second chance. They balance each other so well.

This book was sweet and steamy!!! I am glad this book was based off the friendship that once again developed into something more!
