Some of the essays are a few years old and slightly less relevant in 2020, but still pretty damn funny.

Tiffany Midge is a perceptive observer of family relationships and friendships, and that makes this book much more than a collection of funny essays. Love and kindness, the need to protect oneself, love, and life lessons are woven into the work as a whole. Sometimes these deepr emotions are expressed in short phrases, connecting with the reader ‘s emotions with precision that almost makes your skin prickle. Her humor ranges from satire, to ironic situations, to unsparing honesty, and to appreciation for life’s absurdities. The variation in subject matter and the clarity of Midge’s writer’s voice combine powerfully. I haven’t read anything quite like this recently. Readers Advisory: As a Librarian, I’d recommend Tiffany Midge to fans of creative nonfiction and modern literary fiction.

Such a great collection of short essays/bitingly humorous parodies (such as "Trump Pardons Zombie Apocalypse") that talk about No DAPL protestors, police and institutional violence against Native/Indigenous Americans, representations in media, "pretendians", performative feminism, and the election of Trump (and that's just for starters). If you like [a:Samantha Irby|6896957|Samantha Irby|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1575862314p2/6896957.jpg]'s brand of humor, you'll like this humor.

A very light book
I thought this book would be a deep.look into being a native American woman but it was not like that at all its a bunch of short essays about random subjects.
