I’ve been interested in cults for a long time now. What a beautiful, harrowing, insane journey this woman has been on throughout her life. The balance between family bonds and the scary parts of living in a cult was truly fascinating. I can’t imagine going through even half of this stuff, and from the people who are supposed to protect you as a child.

Immensely harrowing at times, I'm still glad I read this book. It managed to cut in places that I somehow wasn't expecting it to in regards to my life. Incredibly well woven.

I hope Tara lives a peaceful and happy life, wherever it takes her.
