i had a tough relationship with this book. I don't know how to feel about it. The plot was really good in big lines, but the rest of it....
I think i hated the book for like te first 200 pages, because i really just don't like the characters. especially to be honest James. Sloane is a real tough girl who is independent and doesn't let the program win. But okay, I really enjoyed the guy in the program ( i'm sorry, i forgot his name) who is helping sloane. I think the end is kind a weak bcause Sloane is going to the rebels and has a pill to remind your memorys in just one dosis, and thats it. I also did not like the writing style. It was really fast written, but you feel like you have read like 20 pages when you only read 10. okay, i think it was realy good that the main subject why the program is is a good subject. because deppression is a sickniss and a lot of people have it in this book. But than, the romance of Sloane and james is ruining the book kind of. I think i was enoyed how much Sloane thought about how she could escape for James. But okay, that is my opinion. I just did not feel the book.

I loved this book. Young has such a good way to write. It’s definitely more for older kids/teens. I loved everything that happened to Sloan and i like how Young set up the book and had Sloan become even more depressed than throws her into the program. Than how she and James falls in love all over again. Than the ending got me. I finished the book and the next day I had to go get the 2nd one. I can’t wait to read it!!!!

Read about 100 pages and quit. Could not finish. Just so ANGSTY. Which I suppose is the plot of the book. But really.
