Very cute. Lost mom and the daughter finds an “angel” to be her new mommy. Her teacher checked all the boxes. Liked how it included elder issues and lgbtq. Felt longer but in a good way. Wish there could be an sequel

This is a quick read but it is packed with such passion. Ruby and Spencer are great together, I love that he took cues from Ruby when it came to the pace the relationship should be set at and when she was fully ready to go right in he did not miss a beat. Also loved how Spencer was able to read her and know what was needed for situations like at the restaurant or what to do with her childhood home. Nina is a 5-year-old matchmaking genius, I loved Ruby's relationship with her, that wash day routine, was the cutest thing ever. All in all this story was about loving after loss and it was beautiful.
