A gentle paced cosy mystery set in a (mostly) friendly isolated US town, which starts a year after Dorie's identical twin sister dies in a fall.
The author introduces us to a number of characters in the town as Dorie investigates the death of her deaf, twin sister who had moved to the town with her new husband.
Clues, including some left by the ghost of her sister, move the story along as Dorie gets together with a man she shut out of her life when her sister died. The characters are likeable, and their motivations are clear during the course of the story, but I couldn't understand while the central character allowed herself to become estranged, from her only living family member with whom she previously had a very close relationship, including not attending her twin's wedding, due to work commitments, or her funeral. This unrealistic plot point dropped a star for me.
