In all honestly, my rating for the book is actually 3.5 (seriously Goodread, time to give us that option). The 4th books pretty much picks up where the 3rd left off with Jade dealing with the drama of getting her soul ripped into two, with the other half now home to ex-demon turned back to angel Meri. This in turn makes jade an easy target to ghost possessions...especially one named Camille who haunts the house that both Jade & Kane plan to get married and live in. Camille stir up a bunch of trouble which is pretty much the plot of the book.

The book is a good read (just like the other books), but of course there are certain things that annoyed the hell out of me while reading. The 1st being how Jade acts like she's walking on egg shells with her relationship with Kane. She goes about how she fears that he will leave her, when there is no hint of him doing this by the way he's written in the book. Also Jade saying "Kade's house" was especially annoying since she is also living there and the two are engaged.

The second annoyance is Jade's mother. Its learned in the book Hope and Jade's father are the ones that can help resort Jade's soul. But Hope puts herself before her own daughter's well-being and refuses to tell Jade where here father is let alone try to contact him to save her daughters life.

Aside from these two things, I still found the book enjoyable and kept my interest going to finish it.

I did not finish this book. Just a few pages in it became clear that the plot was going to be very similar to the first 3.5 books. While I like the characters, I feel like the plot lines are very repetitive.

At this point I’m invested in Jade’s life. I read the first three books and had to stop. But then I got kindle unlimited and started reading again. So I had to start with this book.

This book opens up more to the paranormal in supernatural world. I like how the story is played out and there’s a lot of new information that you find out about Jade’s life and why is she who she is. Now to finish up the other books in this series.

I thought the beginning had way too much going on at once. Was starting to get lost with the craziness. But once getting to the main story of who and what Jade was, brought a bit of closure. Can't wait for the next book.

Angels of Bourbon Street by Deanna Chase is a 2013 Bayou Moon Publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

Oh dear, just when Jade manages to get Roy's ghost under control she finds herself being possessed by another powerful entity. She manages to escape the first time, but it's determined that with her weakened condition, she will not last much longer if drastic steps aren't taken. So, what to do? She will need a little bit of her mother's soul and a little bit of her father's too. Wait.. her father?
This development opens up a whole new pandora's box of secrets about Jade's family and her why her father was not there to raise her.
In the meantime, the search is on for Jade's father and she is fighting tooth and nail to keep from being possessed by this ghost whose antics are causing major problems for Jade and her good friend Pyper.
Will Jade find her father in time? If so, will he help? There will be some huge jaw dropping revelations in this one so fasten your seat belts for yet another wild and turbulent ride in the life of Jade Calhoun.

This is another outstanding installment in this series. Great set up, lots of drama and suspense and Jade's life takes a on yet another direction you will never see coming. With every book I read in this series more I like it . Well done!
