this was a mess and not in a good way.

also, this story is being unnecessarily dragged out by the author. this did not need to be a four book series and easily could have been a duology. each book is 400 pages containing mostly filler, they aren't on KU and they all end in a cliffhanger. no thanks! i won't be reading the *i assume* fourth and final book.

This book can be summed up as ‘wasted potential’. Things I didn’t like include: terrible pacing, repetition, repetition, repetition, cheating, unexpected pregnancies (yes, plural) and undoing the character development from the previous book.

Hundreds of pages could have been cut from this book simply by not having Grey grab/grip/pull Story’s arm/wrist/lip every few seconds (seriously, it happens over 100 times). Not to mention the constant back and forth between them where they remind each other they can’t be together but they want to be together but it’s wrong but it’s what they want…and on and on.

Considering how lacking this book was I honestly don’t understand stretching things into yet another book. It’s not necessary. Written properly, the story could and should have ended here.

Mary Mary you sweet sweet devil you!
So I had to take 2 days to try to figure out how to put my feelings about this book into words. Mary absolutely obliterated my soul but honestly, I'd do it again in a heart beat. Forbidden Fate has topped every book Ive read this year. Story and Gray's journey is anything less than chaotic but man is it so beautiful. The lies, the angst this book doesn’t give you a single second to recover. We see more of West, more of what it’s really like in Grays world but we also start to see deeper into the type of man he is and just how far he’s willing to go for those he loves. It’s a never ending battle and I can’t wait to see how their story ends in the next book!

I'm screaming and pulling out my hair! I'm all for books that bring out all the emotions and making me crazy but I think this was a bit much. I loved the first two books in this series. Originally after finishing book two, we find out that Grayson and Story will be getting a duet, which I was totally excited for. You just knew after reading that book, that they have so much more. However, the direction this book went was a bit surprising. I felt there was so much back and forth and it was a bit repetitive after a while. I really felt like it was dragged out and lost some of the respect and love I felt for the characters. This was a very emotional book, with all the angst you could ever want and then some. I did find myself disgusted with Lottie on the lengths she went to and the way that progressed. I'm kind of at a loss for words. It's not often that I lose the love I have for characters but this time I'm a little disappointed. I also can't lie and say I'm all that happy with finding out that we are waiting for a third book for this couple. I'm not sure that I will be reading it. This book definitely puts you through he//. I Love this author and I've always loved it most when an author brings out a slew of emotions from the reader because for someone to make you feel this much it's a job well done in my book. This time around it just doesn't feel like I was truly able to enjoy it, I didn't get that winning feeling. I do have a lot going on and while I may not read the last book for this couple I do look forward to more from this author. I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Holy book hangover!! I knew from the previous book that going into this one I would be wrecked but I just didn’t anticipate how accurate or how hard I was shook. The author is an evil genius who had my heart in palpitations the whole book and me screaming at my kindle one second and hugging it the next, but omg it was so good. I never thought I’d say this but this book was so well written that I never thought I’d enjoy being destroyed just to be put back together again. There were so many twists and turns I never saw coming and some I did but I wasn’t prepared for Gray to ruin me for all others. I know this is a vague review but trust me you do NOT want anyone to spoil it because you will love every second of reading it. Bravo to the author because she has a way with words and story telling that are so unique and I love to devour them.

O. My. Gosh. Mary does it again. Forbidden Fate continues right where Stolen Soulmate left off, diving right off from the even cliff hanger. This book is gut wrenching, emotional, you can feel what the characters feel, you’ll cry with them, Mary draws you in so amazingly with her writing and with this storyline. Gray and Story’s journey is just so harrowing and heartbreaking and ugh, it gives you all the feels. Well done Mary!! Forbidden Fate deserves 10 Stars!

Full RTC. Just know, that I am SHOOK, this was AMAZING, & everyone NEEDS it.

Ok. It’s been like 20 days, I think I finally can maybe get something out that isn’t complete gibberish.
I AM SO MAD. I went into this book feeling one way, and came out the other side feeling something totally different.
All of the characters did things that I wanted to beat them for. Nobody gets my mercy.
Story, what the heck man? What are you doing?
Gray. My dude. What on earth?
I’m still holding out hope, but I have to admit, it’s dwindling.

Jesus Christ. I need a drink after this book.
I need to collect my thoughts before I can give it a full review.

So over a week later and I have not collected my thoughts anymore than when I first finished.

It’s impossible to talk about this book for fear of spoiling it.

All you need to know is you will feel ALL the feels with this book.

You want a book that makes you sit on the edge of your seat and has all of the suspense? This is it.

You want a book that has you laughing, crying, angry, and hopeful? This is it.

You want a book that has you rooting for the characters and wanting to murder others? This is it.

This book is an emotional roller coaster in the best way.

Mary has easily become one of my favorite authors with this series.
