4.5 stars! THE SECOND HALF OF THE BOOK HAD ME LOSING MY SH*T. This was so different from what I expected or could have even imagined.. but in such a good way? I didn't know if I'd love it during the first 10% but reading it more and more made me so much more invested. ARE the characters all insane and so different, but complex? YES. It makes everything so much more interesting. I admit I only started the series for Andreil (though they won't really happen until way later), I love the plot itself now that I've read it. I am CONCERNED AND WORRIED. But the idea of family in this book, the characters, and the weird but amazing relationships was so ehfbhebfhbhe. Yeah.
NEIL. He deserves so much that I can't explain it. I can't wait to read more about him and his past because he truly deserves a family and happiness. HE!!!!!!!!!!!
ANDREW IS SO COMPLEX AND INSANE and FUNNY, I love it. The scenes with him and Neil, their bickering and constant back and forth. GOD AM I EXCITED FOR MORE OF THEM.
Why is MATT SO PERFECT? his friendship (ish) and protectiveness is so cute.
KEVIN.. scared for the next book.
I wanna know more about Nicky and Aaron.
DAN, ALLISON, AND RENEE ARE THE CUTEST girlies. I did not expect them but I am so glad they're part of the book, they just tie everything and everyone together.
I LOVED WITH MY ENTIRE BEING ALL OF THE GROUP SCENES. They were so unintentionally funny and had me losing it but on a deeper level, seeing the family trope was amazing. STARTING THE NEXT BOOK NOW!

my main complaint abt this series as a whole is that the writing focuses way too much on Telling instead of Showing and it's such a basic ass complaint but GOD i could not stop thinking abt it. 3 stars tho bc the plot was intriguing enough that i kept reading this one and then the whole series

I would probably not recommend this book to someone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, so it's a win for me.
If you do want to read it, check out the warnings, and maybe read the reviews. I can't promise that it's well written, but I enjoyed it, so...
