We finally learn about the famed lipstick incident. Admittedly it's a bit lackluster, really wasn't expecting it to be so cut and dry but I suppose I have to remember that they're both teenagers dealing with the ins and outs of a relationship.

I still have a Riverdale hangover, so here I am trying to finish the new Archie series I've started. I've been reading Archie comics for as long as I can remember and this new reencarnation of his story is definitely refreshing. I also love how they use previous stories and spin it to something more modern, like the #lipstick incident, which was so hilarious.

Also, I did notice though, how much this run reminds me of Riverdale. I hate researching so I'm not sure if Riverdale was based on this run of Archie or something, but there were very slight similarities. Definitely reading more of this now.

If there was one thing I would criticize about this issue, it is the change of the illustrator. I loved Fiona Staples and her art, and I wish they would have stayed with her.

They finally revealed what the #lipstickincident was all about! It was totally not what I expected, but I enjoyed it all the more. Way to keep my attention with the pacing/building of anticipation. And of course, the illustrations are love.

That was #LipstickIncident?

THAT was the #LipstickIncident?! I'm a little disappointed, but overall the story is progressing nicely. I always feel so sorry for Betty--she's constantly getting the short end of the stick. Still, I love how the story is building, the characters and their personalities are intact, and although I preferred the art from the first couple of issues it's still nice. Good read!

Another great issue, Although I was skeptical of the direction the artwork would go when I heard Fiona Staples would no longer be doing the art anymore, Annie Wu surpassed my expectations and contributed to an overall enjoyable comic.
