A generous 2.5 ✨️'s.

I wanted this series to be good SO BAD! Perhaps DC editorial ought to have convinced Geoff Johns or one of their other Silver Age enthusiasts/luminaries to tackle this project.

Twists and surprises abound, but still manages to maintain the core of the Legion's historic values - This is my favourite Bendis title in a while and I'm happy to be along for the ride.

2.5 stars.

This comic has almost every character to ever be in the legion plus some more which have apparently been thrown in for the sake of it. This means that, despite this being the second volume of Bendis' Legion, there is still almost no characterisation for anyone. The plot is unfocused and would be confusing for anyone who is not intimately used to comic chaos and nonsense. All romantic subplots in this are just terrible with no development or anything.

I would love this to be good. I would kill for this to be good. Unfortunately, it barely reaches decent. Still, it is Legion, and as such, I hope it never stops.

Long live the Legion.

What happens isn't boring, the art feels dynamic and rich, and yet this is boring to read and flat.
