I thought this was a super cute read. I picked this up because I was craving some regency era romance after watching the new season of Bridgerton, and this was the perfect thing for that. Emma was such a funny character, and that made me really enjoy the banter between her and Ash. I also really loved watching Ash’s character start to understand that there’s more to a person than how they look. His journey of learning to love himself and finally see what he deserves made this story so heartwarming. I cannot wait to pick up the next 2 books!

No notes, just good ol' fashioned regency romance with a headstrong FMC and a scarred MMC with a beauty and the beast complex. And an actual bodice ripping scene! What a treat!

I love the banter and humor on this book.
At times, the way the MMC talked about his scars was a bit triggering, but the FMC was really great.

Good! I really enjoyed it. It started me on a historical romance kick.
