This was an absorbing read. I couldn’t put the book down, because I wanted to know what happened next.

I enjoyed Buchanan's previous Thomas Flarety books. This introduction to his new world of the Stalker Chronicles has left me eager for what is coming next with the main series. The Trials of Abyowith is a novella worth checking out for anyone who enjoys action-filled fantasy with a strong YA heroine, and it's all wrapped in a murder mystery.
