1.5 stars. Eliminativism, the view Churchland pushes in this book, is sham philosophy. Beyond that, there's so much in his materialist perspective that plagues this book, and I'd only give the book one star, except, for the fact that it is well presented, I give an extra half-star and round up to 2. I'd love to do a critique of this book as a Youtube series.

A very good introduction to related issues, methods, and ideas of cognitive science. Churchland is somewhat obnoxious at times (but isn’t every writer) but he is very clear and gives a good overview.
